Ruakākā is a small town in the north of New Zealand approximately 30 kilometres south of Whangārei in the Bream Bay area.

    Probably I would never have discovered this wonderful place had it not been for the lock down during the coronavirus pandemic. For two and a half weeks we found a roof over our heads at Ruth and Colin’s place and a lonely, miles long beach right in front of our front door.
