In the centre of the South Island of New Zealand lies Lake Tekapo. This highland lake and settlement at 710 metres is in the heart of the Mackenzie District and surrounded by a vast basin of golden tussock grass.
Travel
A Medicane has formed in the Mediterranean. I never knew such a thing existed until now. Medicanes are a kind of tropical storm in the Mediterranean, but rarely reach the strength of a weak hurricane. They usually develop in autumn, when cold air masses from the north move over the heated Mediterranean Sea.
